French
- Burgundy - smells like air fix glue but tastes nice! Can get very expensive
- Beaujolais - fruity and smooth, great for drinking by itself
- Malbec is just as fruity, I love it
- Bordeaux is the best for me, because you can still get good ones for a fair price
Italian
Italians wines are mainly good with food. Chianti in Borgo was great with the roast dinner. Barolo courtesy of Anthony was nice. Definitely had a Tabacco aroma, and was better with the food
- Rosso di montepulciano was great in Trattoria Rosmarino
- chianti was great with steak in 2025 Matt’s flat near Parma
Tannins are part of the fruits defences, in humans they bind to our saliva and make the mouth less lubricated
